In "Twelve Angry Men", a sixteen year old boy awaits a verdict after being tried for the murder of his abusive father. His fate rests in the hands of twelve jurors from twelve different walks of life who have only two ways of voting: guilty or not guilty. When one juror feels there is "reasonable doubt" and prevents a quick verdict (to the frustration of his eleven colleagues), a heated debate ensues -- a debate which reveals the hidden preconceptions and assumptions of each of the men and brings to light such themes as racism, group dynamics, justice and personal integrity. The winner of the 2005 Tony Award® for Best Revival of a Play, "Twelve Angry Men" is a taut, absorbing and compelling drama set within the confines of a small jury deliberation room of a New York City courthouse on the hottest day of the Summer in 1954. Written by Reginald Rose for the CBS program "Studio One", the successful television broadcast resulted in a screen adaptation by first-time feature film director Sidney Lumet that starred Henry Fonda and Lee J. Cobb and is widely regarded as an American cinematic classic.
Directed by Tom Schopper (of Bloomingdale), the cast of The Barn Theatre’s production of "Twelve Angry Men" stars Craig Zimmermann (of Boonton) as Juror #1, Ron Mulligan (of Bloomfield) as Juror #2, Greg Moran (of Dover) as Juror #3, Rich Maloy (of Cedar Grove) as Juror # 4, Jonathan Peck (of Hoboken) as Juror #5, Ricardo Pino (of Montclair) as Juror # 6, Anthony Rubolotta (of Butler) as Juror #7, Jack Sauer (of Caldwell) as Juror # 8, Cy Friedman (of Rockaway) as Juror #9, Rik Turner (of Boonton) as Juror # 10, Les Stolarz (of Boonton) as Juror # 11, John Trumbull (of Parsippany) as Juror # 12 and Larry Sanders (of Clifton) as The Guard.
